Salt Worship ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through saltworship.co.za (the "Site"), why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

1. Who we are

Salt Worship is a worship ministry based in Pretoria, South Africa. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through the Site.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that is necessary for the purpose it is collected for:

Event registrations and ticket purchases: your name, surname, email address and, where required, phone number.
Merchandise orders: your name, contact details, delivery address and order details.
Newsletter sign-ups: your email address and your consent to receive updates.
Messages you send us: any information you include when you email, call or message us.
Technical information: basic data such as your browser type, device and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not collect or store your full card details. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers.

3. How we use your information

To register you for events and issue tickets or RSVP confirmations.
To process, deliver and support your merchandise orders.
To send event updates, reminders and important notices, such as changes or cancellations.
To send our newsletter, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
To respond to your enquiries.
To keep the Site secure and understand how it is used so we can improve it.
To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the Site and our events, such as our website platform (Wix.com), payment providers, email services and delivery companies. These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers store information on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we rely on providers that are subject to laws, binding agreements or policies that give your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA.

6. Cookies

The Site uses cookies to make it work properly, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use it. You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting records. We then delete or de-identify it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No online system is completely secure, so please also keep your own login details safe.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or unnecessary;
object to us processing your information, including for direct marketing;
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

10. Children

Children are welcome at our events. Where we need personal information about a child under 18, we ask that a parent or guardian provides it and consents on the child's behalf.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, email complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the date it was last updated.
